Privacy Policy

Last updated November 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Expert Witness Co. website collects, how that information is used, and the choices available to visitors. It applies to this website and the forms on it. It does not apply to documents exchanged after an engagement begins, which are handled under the engagement agreement and any protective order in the matter.

1. Information You Submit

When you use a form on this website, such as a case review request, a consultation request, or the email field in the footer, you provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, law firm, and basic details about a matter, such as the venue, incident date, state, and the party you represent. If you email or call us directly, we receive the information you choose to share.

2. How Information Is Used

Information submitted through this website is used to respond to your inquiry, run a conflict check, schedule a call, and evaluate a possible engagement for plaintiff or defense counsel. Submitting a form does not create an engagement. An engagement begins only after a conflict check is cleared and an engagement agreement is signed.

3. Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, this site records standard technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages viewed. WordPress and the plugins that run this site set cookies that keep pages and forms working. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests to filter malicious traffic and to protect email addresses on the pages from automated collection.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell information submitted through this website. Information is shared only with the experts on our team who need it to evaluate a matter, with the service providers that host this website and deliver its email, or when disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order.

5. Confidential Case Information

Please do not send confidential, privileged, or sealed documents through the website forms. Send only basic information needed for a conflict check. Case documents are exchanged after an engagement begins, through the method agreed with retaining counsel.

6. Data Retention and Security

Form submissions are delivered by email and stored in the website database. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect them, including encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. To ask that a submission be corrected or deleted, email Ryan@ExpertWitness.co with the name and email address used in the submission.

7. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as the website or our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the website after a change means the updated policy applies.
